Who says you can’t merge the hottest and latest technology with pet ownership? Indeed you can. We pet owners love our dogs and cats and as such will use whatever method is at our  disposal to care for, protect, play with and love our four legged furry friends. Since not everyone has a tablet or laptop yet, but most do have a cell phone, apps are a hot category to contend with in the pet gadget arena.

Some of these apps are just for fun, while others have a decidedly more functional purpose. But all are intended to make caring for your pet easier, faster and or more convenient. Let’s have a look at four fun mobile apps aimed at pet owners.

4 Fun Mobile Apps Aimed at Pet Owners

1. Pet Centric

This is a neat iPhone app for pet owners seeking local information on nearby dog parks, pet friendly restaurants, hotels and pet service providers. You can also share information via Foursquare and Twitter plus read tips, find a vet, watch cute pet videos or simply post pics of your pooch for others to see in the Pet Centric pet gallery. When time is of the essence and you seek local pet info on the fly, this cool (and FREE) app should do the trick.

2. Cat Tractor

Does your feline friend love to chase red dots? If so, he’s in good company as most cats love to chase things and specifically red laser dots. This app knows this fact and created a fun little diversion for Fluffy that should keep him or her busy for some time. It’s an Android app that is compatible with the Kindle Fire and the trick is that your device will play the app and as such it’s important to get yourself a nice protective film for the screen, since this is what kitty will be batting at left and right. However it should prove to be loads of fun for your cat.

    Hi, Brian:

I hear ya on that. A bigger home is more conducive to an active pup, especially if you prefer the larger breed type dogs.

Thanks for visiting and commenting. Cheers!

    Hi Missy,

Thank you for these apps! What suits me best is Pet First Aid, because I have a male shar-pei who always gets into troubles and it’s nice to know what to do with it until we go to the vet.

That’s really good. Missy you did a good research on such apps. After showing this I would definitely say that you are a pet lover. Am I right? Anyway I also love my pet and that’s why I am going to purchase “Pet First Aid”. Thanks for sharing it.
