Although PS3 and PC players were just given Vengeance last week. Treyarch is rolling out their final DLC pack for Xbox players! And they have recycled two more maps from Black Ops! Take a look in this weeks Call of Duty Black Ops 2 Updates to see what is coming down the pipe!
Apocalypse DLC for Xbox
With Call of Duty Ghosts coming in November Treyarch is wrapping up the Black Ops 2 season with this DLC pack. In this DLC we will get 4 more maps and another Zombie experience. It appears that they also ‘re-skinned’ two Black Ops maps again.
This multi layered map is an abandoned Utopian community from the 70’s You’ll have to run the tops of the pods as well as the multiple levels inside! Should be interesting to see how they designed this one.
Another snow map. I know I can hear some of you groaning already. In this map your in a European city divided by a Canal where you’ll have to utilize the bridges to get across to the other side. This is sure to create some interesting choke points and should be a lot of fun for objective based games like Domination.
This is a re-skin of the original Black Ops map Stadium. Now re-designed as a remote launch area in the middle of the Pacific. Although this map was a lot of fun it had a tendency to promote campers and snipers. Although rushers could definitely work their way around the map easily too!
This is another re-skin of the original World at War map Courtyard. This map has been re-designed as two archaeological dig sites in Afghanistan. It will be interesting to see how this map translates to Black Ops 2. I remember this map as being very fast paced with plenty of corners and hiding spots with some decent vantage points for snipers as well!
Update: They released the sneak preview video for the last DLC. Take a look at it below!
Treyarch is calling this “a Dieselpunk-themed First World War”. They are bringing back the original Zombie cast and including music from Avenged Sevenfold and original art from Comic Book artist Alex Ross. This one is going old school and bringing back the original World at War Zombie mode with a Black Ops 2 twist! Take a look at the trailer below for a small sneak peak near the end of the giant robot that looks like its about to squish someone!
Available August 27th for Xbox
Xbox players get this first as is now the norm (and isn’t going to change) and PS3/PC players will get this later in September (I’m guessing Thursday the 26th – but don’t hold me to that. You can get the pack for $14.99 either directly from Xbox 360 store or you can always pick it up from Game Stop as well.
What Do You Think?
I’m on the fence about recycling old maps. On one side its nice to be able to play the old maps. There familiar. On the other hand I feel kind of ripped off. How do you feel about it? Leave a comment below.
