With Call of Duty Black Ops II soon to be released. It is important to make sure you are ready for it! Inside is the gear and tips you’ll need to make sure your ready for the November 13th Release Date!
Pre-Order Call of Duty Black Ops II
Of course you’ll need to pre-order the game! Why? Well you will get Double XP the first weekend of the release. And you will get the bonus map Nuketown 2025! The latest Call of Duty promises to be the most ambitious yet? New Zombie modes, an action-packed Campaign, and of course Multi-Player. Treyarch has pulled out all the stops to try and create the best game yet!
Choose Your Console!
Do you play on Xbox or PS3? Both are great consoles and have their own merits. If you don’t have a Console do you plan on playing on PC? Below I go through your options with the advantages and disadvantages below.
Microsoft Xbox 360
The Xbox 360 is one of the most popular console out on the market today. With just about 70 million Xbox 360 consoles sold (Source TG Daily) you are bound to be able to find a match. That with their improved dashboard, added apps like Netflix, the Kinect, and the ability to watch your local Cable On-Demand might make this the console to choose for Call of Duty Black Ops II. That and you can find just about anything for the console like customized controllers!
- It is the most popular console (besides the Wii).
- Large library of games.
- You will receive DLC content from Black Ops II a month sooner than PS3 and PC players.
- You have to pay for it. You’ll need an Xbox Live! account in order to play online
Sony Playstation 3
If you have visited here before you know I play on the PS3. Its my preferred console. I originally purchased it just to play Blu-Ray movies on it and use it as my home theater device. Since then I have completely switched from PC Gaming to playing only on the PS3. Before the Xbox 360 updated their console it used to be the only one that had full browser support out of the box. That and PSN has always been free so there is no subscription fee made it an easy choice for me. The PS3 has currently sold more than 67 million units.
- You can game online for free. (Unless you decide to pay for the Playstation + Service)
- More powerful console than the Xbox
- Less likely to suffer hardware issues (Although later models of the Xbox are more stable)
- Ability to play blu-ray movies.
- Smaller Game Library
- Dashboard is less than ideal.
- Will have to wait 30 days after Black Ops II DLC is released.
Only the hard core game on PC. I know I’ll get some hate saying that. There was a time when I meant it when I said that. But Consoles have become so popular the PC Gaming community is slowly dwindling. But if you want faster action and more control? Than PC Gaming is for you! Now that my reflexes aren’t what they used to be? I’ll stick with my PS3 🙂
- You control the hardware
- Faster Gameplay
- Hardcore Community
- Less likely to see timely updates
- Players more likely to cheat
