Updating the spawn logic in Modern Warfare 3 tonight (2am PT). This will improve when / where / how you spawn. Goodbye revenge spawns.
For those who play or don’t know. When Call of Duty MW3 was released the spawn system logic is horrid. You would take down someone and they would instantly spawn behind you and you would get shot in the back. I had to learn to grow eyes in the back of my head!
Hopefully with this patch that went up last night will fix that. I don’t want it to be like Call of Duty Black Ops where you would end up spawn trapping the entire team if you knew how to do it. But I would like to know the guy I just killed didn’t spawn right behind me.
I’m sure we will see some vids on YouTube today letting us know if they fixed the issue or made it worse.
1/17/2012 Update: I’ve been playing and I can say that spawns are a “little” better – but they are still 90 million times worse than Call of Duty: Black Ops 🙁
2/29/2012 Update: I don’t know about fixed… I still get “Revenge Spawned” quit a bit – especially in smaller maps. I wish they would just change it back to the Call of Duty MW2 spawn system and call it good.
