A fellow blogger Justin has a site called Dragon Blogger filled with Technology, Gaming, Entertainment and more. What is awesome though is that he also hosts a ton of awesome giveaways. If you are a blogger or just want to be able to do computer tutorials you should check out the giveaway he has now!  Dragon Blogger has partnered up with Tech Smith by offering a free copy (license) of Camtasia Studio 8!  The good news? You can enter the giveaway in this post! But make sure you stop by to thank him and tell him avgjoegeek.net sent you!

What is Camtasia Studio 8?

Camtasia is the awesome ability to capture what you are doing on your computer screen. This gives you the ability to create online tutorials and posting them to YouTube, Vimeo, or any other online video site.

Taken from the Dragon Blogger Giveaway Page

With Camtasia studio you can record your PC or Mac desktop and most applications and make attractive screencast presentations that are high quality and professional.  You can record audio (multiple tracks) you can import sound over an existing video file, add clip art (callouts), images, cuts, transitions, join multiple video file types (.avi / .mp4) and do so much more efficiently.  You can also record yourself via webcam while you record your desktop as well with Camtasia Studio so you can overlay your own face talking on the screen at the same time in the video.

You can check out the rest of the article here.

You can also check out the video below to see what Camtasia Studio 8 is. And you can check out the whole series and tutorials from their Official YouTube Channel.

Comments on any of the co-hosting sites count as entries, and if the winner is from this site, then Jason wins $25 for hosting the winning entry.

The way it works is when I pick the winning entry, I then look and see which “blog URL” the winner entered from.

First of all I want to say superb blog! I had a quick question which I’d like to ask if you do not mind. I was interested to find out how you center yourself and clear your mind before writing. I have had trouble clearing my thoughts in getting my ideas out. I do enjoy writing but it just seems like the first 10 to 15 minutes are usually lost just trying to figure out how to begin. Any suggestions or hints? Kudos!

    • http://avgjoegeek.net Jason Mathes

Unfortunately I’m the wrong guy to ask. I get to write usually under a TON of pressure! My son is usually running around in the background, or I get interrupted by the phone, or I drift off into social media land. But somehow I get it all written out.

Good luck with the contest and your writing.

I use it at office and by far the best video editing software I found. Capturing screens is super easy and adding caption etc is also very easy. The thing I like about the software is its low learning curve and also how they educate you with plenty of tutorials. If you are into Video editing definitely a must have software. Thanks for mentioning about the contest, might join to own a personal copy.

Nishadha – I’ve started looking at the free trial. It is very simple to use.

I do have Sony’s Movie Maker and although it has a ton of features – it is nowhere as easy as Camtasia seems to be!

I’m a PC user and a small non-profit recently asked me to helping them make training videos. Everything I’ve read says Camtasia is the app we need to get. Definitely would love getting a license. Thanks for the opportunity.

Interesting name you have there. As long as you used a valid email address I suppose it should take your entry. Make sure you have pasted the tweet into the Rafflecopter to get credit! Good Luck!
