Happy New Year! | avgjoegeek’s Favorite Posts

ajg-vert-logoHappy New Year everyone!  I hope 2012 was a great one for you. As I’m gearing up for 2013 I started rooting around my blog and found a few posts that were my favorites. Why? Well because they all had one thing pretty much in common. They helped YOU the reader!  So join me as I go through my favorite posts for 2012 inside!

1. Call of Duty MW3: How To Download Maps for the PS3

This post was the most popular on the blog. And for good reason. With Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 they introduced a different way of adding downloadable content (new maps etc.) for the game. And with it came its issues. I had to create TWO videos on it. I did endless hours of research, updates, and tried to answer peoples questions as well as I could. It turned into my #1 source for traffic in 2012!

2. Cloudflare Review | Does it Really Work?

I did this on a fluke. I have been using Cloudflare for just about six months and I can say I’m quite happy with it. For a free CDN (Content Delivery Network) service it is nothing less than awesome!  I wrote the review to try and give people at least a brief overview on how a CDN works as well as the services offered and does it actually work? The answer is YES it does work – although some people on there have said otherwise. If your looking into possibly using a CDN service? I would suggest trying CloudFlare out first – as they are FREE and great for smaller blogs such as myself!

3. Should you Root your Android or iPhone Smartphone?

This one started out as reasons why you should root your phone. It then turned into a tutorial/why most people should not root their smartphones. I still agree with what I wrote originally (imagine that?) and if you are just a basic user? There is no good reason why you need to root your phone. But if you are still interested… give it a read to get you started!

4. avgjoegeek’s Guide on How to Make Your Blog Google Friendly

After reading countless blog posts about how to show up in the SERP’s? I went to the source to find out what GOOGLE wants. And here it is – a monster post with just about everything you need to know to not only make Google happy but your readers too!

5. How to Play Call of Duty MW3 Like a Boss

These are just some simple tips I put together to help who play COD play a little better. This isn’t for the veteran player but for those who are new to the game.

6. avgjoegeek’s Laptop Buying Guide 2012

I liked writing this one as I was looking at getting a new laptop. So I figured since I was already doing the research why not write it up and share it with you!

7. 3 Reasons Why Your Blog Comment Wasn’t Approved | And Never Will Be!

I wrote this out of frustration and was going to be just the rules of the road when you visit here at avgjoegeek.net. Of course I’m talking to YOU the fellow blogger. If you are wondering why your comments aren’t getting the approval ratings your hoping for? Then I suggest reading this.

As you can see there is a common thread with all of these posts. They are all meant to be helpful for you the reader! What do you think of the list? Can you think of any posts that you enjoyed that isn’t on here? Let me know by commenting below!

And Happy New Years everyone! I hope it is going to be a good one for you!

Happy New Year to You Too. 195 is an awesome amount of article for one year, especially when you’re doing it all alone.
