The New MySpace Review | Get Connected!

by Russ King on February 13, 2013

New MySpace

New MySpace is a cleaver advent to the social media market. Old MySpace that www.myspace.com will remain intact for some time if not indefinitely as to not alienate their current users of their old product, according to what I have read in the blogosphere about the project. This is my New MySpace review and what they have done to change the way you might have used MySpace in the past.

Getting connected is really quite simple, all you have to do is merely go to new.myspace.com and you have begun your steps. I signed originally during the beta test phase, and the product has some really interesting features let’s break them down.

1.Starting your Connections

Interface

Welcome Page

On New MySpace you don’t friend users, you connect with them; this includes artists and friends you want on your list. The object of New MySpace was simple; they sought an easy way for users to connect with other users, no hassles.

Sign In Methods

They have made it simple to sign in now. With adding integration with Facebook, Twitter, or your original MySpace account information you can easily sign up/sign in into the site.

If utilized properly New MySpace can replace the users option of Pandora.com for streaming their favorite music. YouTube needs to beware the sleeping giant known as MySpace because with this project they have effectively made YouTube and Pandora look like the weaker ships in the corporate sea.

New MySpace combines both technologies to deliver the user with a unique chance for listening to their favorite artists. Best of all the music is neatly organized by album, and if you’re a video lover you can simply watch your favorite music videos. Don’t forget to add your favorite songs to custom playlists.

2. Navigating the interface

Navigation Bar

Navigation Bar

Drag your cursor over to the magnifying glass in the lower left hand side of your screen to navigate different musical talents. Once you’ve input your favorite musician you can hover over the double circles, these circles allow you several options, my favorites being connect and add to playlist.

Add to Playlist/Search

They kept this rather simple, if you want to check out what is new and interesting in the entertainment world check out what is trending.

This was a rather quick overview of how to utilize some of the features of new.myspace.com as with all technologies that enter into the market it is recommended that you give this one a chance.

If I were to give MySpace an overhaul and find a way to stick to my original idea it would look something a lot like what we have in front of us today at New.MySpace.Com this is the direction social networking needs to move into.

3. Enjoy!

New mysapceThe New MySpace is a trend setting empire. They took the idea of Facebook and made it public access. As Facebook updated its services and nearly eradicated its competitor, New MySpace proves to us that it wasn’t defeated. It did not fall to an endless stream of I love you pictures and what I ate for dinner updates. It is filled with the information that drives the force known as MySpace, entertainment updates. News articles regarding the Hollywood finest, and updates involving other interests.

This is a chance for all entrepreneurs to connect with one another…So what are you waiting for?

Neve really used myspace, but I use facebook all the time. With Google+, Twitter, and now this, I wonder how long Facebook will stay on top

I think the new MySpace is more oriented toward music more than anything. It is not going to top Facebook any time in the next decade lol. Although its an interesting concept? I don’t find myself using it.
