Ever think about those old games you used to play? How about on the original Xbox? Some were great, some were um.. well not so great. Take a look down memory lane as I go through my top 5 old forgotten Xbox gems inside!
Notice: The Top 5 Old Forgotten Xbox Gems are only on the first Xbox Console and are backwards compatible with the Xbox360.
1. Phantom Dust (Xbox)
Have you ever heard of Phantom Dust? If no, I strongly suggest you give it a chance. It is one of the most unique and even RPG like games you’ll ever experience in your life. It has a huge arsenal of weapons and makes you use everyone of them within a certain strategy to progress. It’s story isn’t the best, it’s certainly not bad, but its not great either. There will be never be anything else like it! It’s so different and so unbelievably addictive that you won’t be able to stop playing it, trust me. It’s hard to describe this game because it’s so “out” there. Truly, its an unforgettable game that should have spawned a sequel.
2. Unreal Championship 2: The Liandri Conflict (XBox)
HEADSHOT! Who here doesn’t love Unreal Championship?! My first experience with this series was actually on the PS2 believe it or not! But what’s strange about this game is the fact that it has a single player story! A real story! You heard me right. It has 3rd person combat with blades like Devil May Cry and even plays like a third person shooter as well! It’s is unheard of! It uses unique style with it’s jump charge teleportationation, double jumping, wall climbing, and even quick time finishing move fatalities! How insane is that to know something like this even exists in the realm of the Unreal Tournament Universe? Pretty nuts if ask me.
3. Blood Wake (Xbox)
Twisted Metal…whoops. Blood Wake is basically twisted metal but with boats as instead of cars. But without a good story or characters it feels empty. It’s not anywhere near the quality and creativeness that is Twisted Metal. But it does deliver with some cool weapons and it doesn’t get old. It keeps you on your toes and can be pretty intense at times. Like most of these vehicle death match games play *cough* Vigilante *cough*.
4. Crimson Skies: High Road To Revenge(Xbox)
Did you know Zipper made this? Yeah Zipper, the people who brought you SOCOM! Isn’t that some crazy stuff!? Anyhow, it’s your typical dog fighting plane game. It usually came with your Xbox when you first bought it from the retail stores. It was actually pretty fun and enjoyable for being just another plane game. At the time you couldn’t believe the graphics! The way the water, explosions, and sky looked. It looked so “next gen” and blew our freaking minds. If you want to know how it plays it’s like this. You fly plane! You shoot other planes and random air-blips! Then they go BOOM! There’s not much for story in this one, just a plane game with a unique spin on strange technology with the use of airships.
5. Dead or Alive Xtreme Beach Volleyball (Xbox)
Yep, It’s a pretty much a porno with uh… “Volley Ball” I guess. This “Game” is not fun to play but it is however fun to watch. It’s one of the most joked about games from the Dead Or Alive series in history. This isn’t your traditional Dead Or Alive Arcade Game I’m afraid. It’s all about the women of Dead Or Alive wearing naughty outfits that don’t fit while pretending to hit a volleyball and giggle. I swear to you. It sold like hot cakes! The mechanics of the game may have been fun to…someone? But I somehow doubt it, seriously.
